More Infant Sleepers Recalled After 5 Deaths

Kids II has recalled all its rocking infant sleepers because five infants have died in the sleepers since they hit the market in 2012. The infants died after they “rolled from their back to their stomach while unrestrained, or under other circumstances,” according to the recall notice.

The recall comes about 2 weeks after Fisher-Price recalled all of its Rock ‘n Play infant sleepers amid reports of 32 sleeper-related deaths.  The American Academy of Pediatrics pushed for the recall, with the group’s president calling the product “deadly.”  The manufacturer conceded 3 days later.

The recall affects some 4.7 million sleepers.  The names and model numbers are available at the first link below.
